Tidal Change Makers Collective believes that creativity can be a powerful tool for connection, healing, learning, and transformation. We welcome applications from individuals and groups working across disciplines and encourage proposals that centre accessibility, equity, community engagement, ecological responsibility, and imaginative approaches to creating positive change.

Solo residencies are intended for individual artists, creatives, researchers, organizers, or community practitioners seeking dedicated time and space to focus on a project, explore an emerging idea, deepen their practice, or engage with the local community and environment.

Projects may include:

• Visual arts 
• Writing and storytelling 
• Performance 
• Social practice 
• Community-engaged arts 
• Research and exploration 
• Environmental and place-based work 
• Interdisciplinary and experimental practices 

Residents are encouraged to approach their time with curiosity and openness. We value process as much as product and welcome projects at all stages of development.

Collaborative Residencies are designed for groups, collectives, artistic teams, community organizations, or interdisciplinary collaborators working together on a shared project or area of inquiry.

These residencies support:

• Collective creation 
• Community-engaged projects 
• Research and development 
• Skill sharing 
• Relationship building 
• Collaborative problem-solving and visioning 

We welcome applications from both established and newly formed collaborations.

As funding and partnerships allow, Tidal Change Makers Collective will offer themed residency opportunities that respond to pressing social, cultural, and environmental issues.

We are committed to offering at least one annual residency dedicated to 2SLGBTQIA+ artists, organizers, and changemakers whose work engages with social justice, environmental justice, community care, and collective futures.

These themed residencies may include mentorship, facilitated gatherings, workshops, public programming, or opportunities for peer exchange and will be developed in collaboration with community partners whenever possible.
